We watched a great documentary the other night called, More Than A Game. It is the story of four boys who started playing basketball together when they were ten years old, and stayed together, as a unit, through high school. One of the players, LeBron James, went on to the NBA. This was a wonderful movie to watch but what I loved most about it, was how it came about.
The producer of this movie was a college student doing an assignment, for an introduction to film class. It was supposed to be a ten minute film on a topic of interest. It turned out to be a 7+ year project that became a major movie, and I will have to say, a great one. We loved it so much that we watched it 2 nights in a row. You will probably never see me recommend another basketball movie on this blog, but this one is beyond sports…. It is about divine timing, grace, love, struggle and triumph.
The 2 minute official trailer is below (and this alone is fun to watch)
