a laugh today

Luke and Fred last evening

I’ve been sitting here at my desk trying to write something of value for an hour and keep coming up blank. I read this quote yesterday and loved it…hoping you have a smile and a laugh today.

“I thought I told you to wait in the car”, Tallulah Bankhead, on seeing a former lover for the first time in years

  1. Mary…the simplest single word or thought from you is ‘something of value’ to the flock! Great value…I think you could send a blank page with a picture or just a hello, and we will always feel the communion…the connection. One of peace, belonging, friendship without borders…perhaps equivalent to each of us looking at the same moon…ahhhh…

That said..this quote is hysterical! Laugh out loud funny! Thanks!!! XOXO

    • Friendship without borders! I love that Kathye! Mary, I’ve copy/printed out a couple of pictures of your pets, and it’s true, when I put the clothes in the dryer (the only surface that I can get magnets to stick to – refrig door is wooden) I get the biggest kick knowing I am looking at Mary’s Luke and kitties. I agree with Kathye, even if you were to send a blank page, we would feel your love knowing you are thinking of all of us – as we do you, every single day! xoxo to the flock – Luke, you’ve got a noble right profile! and Fred, you sure know how to chill!

  2. Mary, you’ve obviously spent a lot of time researching quotes and coming up with ones that are most appropriate to your postings so just wanted to say, this morning’s juxtaposition of the dog and Tallulah’s apparent comment, fit very nicely indeed.

  3. Oh Mary! Your honesty is so refreshing! It’s one of the things that keeps me coming back for more. And the humor too…..loved the quote. Some days, the creative mind draws a blank and humor steps in…..a welcome renewal!

  4. Oh, to have such repartee on the tip of my tongue! Loved this post….loved the picture of Luke and Fred. Win-win!

  5. I think most of us want you to post, Mary, because you want to, not because you feel you have to. You have spun such a wonderful web of women (and a few men?) here — you can trust us to wait for the next post. And I love the quote and the photo. Thanks.

  6. Mary,
I love Charlotte’s thoughts above, and just wanted to say the photo brought a smile to my day. Thanks!

  7. Lol!!! I love the look on Luke’s face too! A bird was splashing about in my birdbath today! I felt like I won the Lottery!

  8. Loved it – made me laugh. I especially love seeing your pets. We got 2″ of rain last night in S.E. Wisconsin so life is good.

  9. My husband and I started our day with a grand good laugh,THANKS! And I always LOVE seeing your critters! It’s hot and muggy out West, too. Thunder storms expected. Let’s pray for rain in the Mid West.
