My sister, Jayne, read this Rumi poem to me this morning. It moved me so powerfully that I wanted to share it with you…it seems to speak to the opportunity being presented to us during these amazingly challenging times.
QUIETNESS
Inside this new love, die.
Your way begins on the other side.
Become the sky,
Take an axe to the prison wall.
Escape.
Walk out like someone suddenly born into color.
Do it now.
You’re covered with a thick cloud.
Slide out the side. Die,
and be quiet.
Quietness is the surest sign
that you’ve died.
Your old life was a frantic running
from silence.
The speechless full moon
comes out now.

Thanks 🙏
This is a very good time to be quiet.
Dear Mary, thank you for this most powerful poem by one of my favorite teachers, Rumi. It speaks to my heart and strengthens my soul. Bless you dear one……….the journey continues.
Thank you! I’m loving the silence…..
